The Spectacular Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

In the two years since the Eldorado was first introduced by Cadillac, it has won itself a unique place in the hearts of motorist everywhere. Though the Eldorado name originally designated only the convertible model, it will include for 1956 both an open and closed car. The first of these- the spectacular Biarritz- is a true achievement in advanced design and engineering. Its high-sweeping fender lines... its beautiful grille and rear bumper assembly ... its unique "disappearing top" ... its special "Sabre - Spoke" wheels ... its special hood ornament ... its chrome ribbed saddle molding ... and it's many special color options ... give it a beauty all its own. To add still greater glamour, the Biarritz is available with gold wheels and a gold grille. And the Biarritz is powered by a special 305- h.p. Cadillac engine, and offers Cadillac's most advanced features of engineering throughout. In every way, it is a true masterpiece of Cadillac craftsmanship.

Greenwich Concours 2012

Hi All,

My Eldorado (BDY#632) had the honor of being invited to the Greenwich Concours this year. What a spectacular event packed with remarkable cars from across the country. Have a look,

The morning was a little soggy from the heavy rain over night but the sun came out about mid morning and dried everything off. Oh, in case you were wondering, this was my show placement for the day. Right in front of the Cadillac tent!
The sun came out and most of the convertibles dropped their tops,

1964 & 1960 Eldorado's

1956 Mark II Converitible. 1 of 3 built.

1931 Cadillac V16
Many high end classics were on hand, here is a small sample of the Concours field
1934 Duesenburg
1931 Cadillac V8

1937 Chrysler in original condition.  Custom built for the daughter of Walter Chrysler.

Here's a few more from the Greenwich Concours

Many of todays finer car manufacturers had the latest offerings on display. Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Rolls Royce, Ferrari and Buggati just to name a few.

It was a privilege to be invited to this event and a pleasant surprise to be able to display my car directly across from the Cadillac tent. That was only the beginning of a great day surrounded by great cars and great people. The Eldorado was well received, countless photographs were taken of it and many on lookers admired her beauty. The Greenwich staff was very helpful and informative. The setting was as good as it gets on the Connecticut coast.  A great day indeed but it wasn't over yet. The concours had one more surprise for me. My Eldorado was honored with the Most Outstanding Open Car-1956 to 1958 award.

It doesn't get much better than this! Thanks for reading along.
