Sixty years ago tomorrow, August 31st 1955, the very first 1956 Eldorado Biarritz rolled off the assembly line. Body #1, Serial #566200006 was painted emerald green with green and white leather interior. It was fitted with gold saber wheels and grille, EZ EYE glass and power trunk. To date this car is not on the list of survivors.
This Eldorado was the very first Biarritz ever built by Cadillac. Although in 1956 the Biarritz name was no where to be found on the car.

and finally 1956 was the year when the pink Cadillac was born. Mountain Laurel was available for the first time in '56.
