The Spectacular Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

In the two years since the Eldorado was first introduced by Cadillac, it has won itself a unique place in the hearts of motorist everywhere. Though the Eldorado name originally designated only the convertible model, it will include for 1956 both an open and closed car. The first of these- the spectacular Biarritz- is a true achievement in advanced design and engineering. Its high-sweeping fender lines... its beautiful grille and rear bumper assembly ... its unique "disappearing top" ... its special "Sabre - Spoke" wheels ... its special hood ornament ... its chrome ribbed saddle molding ... and it's many special color options ... give it a beauty all its own. To add still greater glamour, the Biarritz is available with gold wheels and a gold grille. And the Biarritz is powered by a special 305- h.p. Cadillac engine, and offers Cadillac's most advanced features of engineering throughout. In every way, it is a true masterpiece of Cadillac craftsmanship.

Five more added to the list. Need your help on another.

Hi All,

We have five to add to the list in this update. Four from overseas and one from Washington state. We also have a picture of an emerald green car that I need your help with.

We are now up to 173 cars on the roster. Please go to the statistics page for the full breakdown of cars.

Here we go,

(Please go to the appropriate color name page to view more info and pictures of the cars discussed below)

This original condition Bahama blue Biarritz was recently photographed in Portugal this summer. Looks like it may be a daily driver.

The next two pictures were sent to me by a follower in Argentina. Both are new cars on the roster.

This one turned up on eBay. VERY rough condition but also very rare as a factory air conditioned mountain laurel Biarritz. Located in Washington state. Opening bid of $5k was not reached.

The last car added to the list is without a photograph at this time. Body #1122 is located in Austria and has been there since 2001. It's a fully loaded emerald green Biarritz! Photos to come soon!
Need your help with this folks. I believe this car is also new to the list but I have no information to go with the car. Does anyone know this car or the owner? Can someone tell me where this picture was taken? Any assistance appreciated.

I love a parade! This Biarritz was photographed in New Jersey on the boardwalk in 1956. Great picture sent in by a follower of the roster.

That's all folks! Thank you for all of the support and please keep the photos and information coming!
