The Spectacular Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

In the two years since the Eldorado was first introduced by Cadillac, it has won itself a unique place in the hearts of motorist everywhere. Though the Eldorado name originally designated only the convertible model, it will include for 1956 both an open and closed car. The first of these- the spectacular Biarritz- is a true achievement in advanced design and engineering. Its high-sweeping fender lines... its beautiful grille and rear bumper assembly ... its unique "disappearing top" ... its special "Sabre - Spoke" wheels ... its special hood ornament ... its chrome ribbed saddle molding ... and it's many special color options ... give it a beauty all its own. To add still greater glamour, the Biarritz is available with gold wheels and a gold grille. And the Biarritz is powered by a special 305- h.p. Cadillac engine, and offers Cadillac's most advanced features of engineering throughout. In every way, it is a true masterpiece of Cadillac craftsmanship.

BDY #831, TRIM # 10 black & white, Top #2, ACC-EHS. Built on Jan 20, 1956. A three owner car in mostly original condition. Purchase new in California and still in California. 2013. The current owner writes,
The car sold in San Francisco at the only car dealership there. It was owned by a judge and when he passed, the family sold the car. A gentleman named Rick Alcinni bought it at an auction in the 1980s. He had the car for 10 years. Never did a single thing to it or drove it. I bought it for $27k back in late 1990's from him. I promised that I would never sell it. It was in the condition you see it. The spare tire inside the trunk also has is the aluminum sabre wheel. So it has six of those wheels as there's one also in the continental kit.

There is no bondo anywhere and nothing that even resembles a dent. The bumpers are very good but there is chrome that needs to be done. On the drivers side there is a piece of trim missing from the rear fender but other than that everything else is there. Car runs and drives as well as shifts good.  Has new gas tank . Car needs to be unassembled and gone through completely. All rubber is bad as was stored from 1985 until now. Paint is OK on most of body but either needs to be color sanded and clear coated or completely repainted. Interior was redone in 1985 in leather and shows very well. Carpet needs replacing.  All power windows work. There is no top but all top framing is there.  Exhaust system needs complete replacement."
